الوعي النقدي باللغة هو فهم مظاهر الاجتماعية والسياسية والاعتقادية للغة والتغير اللغوي والخطاب.[1][2][3] ويختص بدراسة سبب تهميش الفرد لتكلمه بطريقة معينة، خاصة إذا اعتبرت مؤشرا على عنصره أو عرقيته أو دينه أو مركزه الاجتماعي.
